Sky Laughter a.k.a Sally Devorsine
....is presently living high up in the mountainous valleys of the mystical eastern kingdom of Bhutan. It has been many years since she left her English roots behind...She first lived in Hong Kong on a boat in Deep Water Bay, then she worked as an interior designer eating dimsum for seven years before she came to this land of thick forests and hidden temples. Sally now seeks to bring some of the thin, crisp air of Bhutan to your boggle-fogged modern mind and give it a brisk spring-clean through with a modern adaptation of a thousand year old Buddhist teaching.
Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayan mountains, she has spent the last ten years teaching young Bhutanese, Tibetan and Nepalese monks the ways of the Western world (including all the subjects you love to hate!).
The NOW I KNOW series is a series of eight books created to reveal some of the lessons she has learned along the way.

Matthieu Ricard

Footsteps of Gandhi, Passionate Presence, and A Crack in Everything.
"At a time when children's imaginations are usurped by fast media on multiple devices, books may seem a message in a bottle from another world and another time. But they are perhaps one of the healthiest forms of information for children and especially when those books carry a message, helping a child to understand right and wrong, kindness, self-acceptance, dignity. Chocolate Sauce provides a line of children's books based on ancient and modern wisdom teachings that open a child's mind to wonder and the greater good and uses contemporary examples to do so."
Dr. Kenneth Porter
....Psychiatrist, co-director of the Center for
Spirituality and Psychotherapy in New York City.
“The most important thing any of us can do to help a child is to help her have the courage to be true to her deepest self. Spirituality at its core – whatever the path or school – is about helping us to discover our true identity. Therefore spiritual guidance is the single most important gift we can give our children. I commend Shelley and her contribution with Chocolate Sauce.”
